Biography




Karim Kassem is a professional Egyptian and French actor. He had his first cinematic breakthrough in the teen film Awqat Faragh (Spare times) in 2006. Karim is trilingual in Arabic, French and English and was awarded the best young actor award in the Alexandria film festival for the movie ‘with true colors.” Karim discovered his passion for acting at a very young age and joined his school theater group from the age of 6 where he developed his acting skills until he graduated from high school. Karim majored in theater and acted in many plays at The American University in Cairo. He also trained in Paris (Cours Florent), New York City (Susan Batson), Los Angeles (USC Film School) and London. In 2017, Karim joined Peter Kosminsky's cast of The State, which was his first appearance in an international series. He also played the main role in the upcoming Luxembourgian and Belgian movie “Sawah.”
